Nottinghamshire Shortlisted For Community Award

Nottinghamshire will serve as cricket’s sole representatives at the Sport and Recreation Alliance Professional Sports Club of the Year Awards.

Surrey batsman Mark Ramprakash will host the ceremony at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel on Tuesday 3 May.

“The list of nominees demonstrates how prestigious these awards are and we’re honoured to be listed alongside Premiership football and rugby clubs,” said Community Sports Trust Manager Tracey Francis.

“Community delivery is at the heart of our business and we are proud that the impact of our schemes has been recognised.”

Tracey will be joined by five members of Community and Development team and two young people who have benefitted from the club’s Positive Futures scheme, a social inclusion programme that uses sport to enrich young lives in Cotgrave.

“Ethan and Megan were part of our initial cohort and they have returned to mentor the second wave of participants in our Positive Futures scheme,” said Tracey.

“We’re looking forward to attending the awards ceremony and we’re very pleased that the Sport and Recreation Alliance have recognised our work.”

Nottinghamshire will compete with Everton FC, Sheffield United FC, Sunderland FC, Watford FC and Leicester Tigers RFC.
