Skipper Khan turns in fine all-round show to sink rivals

Fastlane Cabs captain Yaqoob Khan had a day to remember in Division Four of the Newark Alliance.

He hit a half century in a total of 107 and then returned astonishing bowling figures of 5-0 from five overs as Calverton were bowled out for 30 inside 20 overs.

Claypole go marching on at the top after Steven Ryder's half century helped them to 194 and a seventh win in a row as they beat Balderton II.

Scott Barnsdale's 3-15 helped restrict the visitors to 107 in reply.

Adam Peel can't stop scoring runs in Division Five. He passed fifty for the fifth time in a row for Colston Bassett and his unbeaten 84 saw them home against Nuthall to leapfrog them into second.

Risley are the new leaders after they inflicted a sixth defeat in a row on basement boys Gotham Village (100) by five wickets.

There were unbeaten centuries in Division Six for Notts & Arnold II's Connor Brindley and Dave Piggot of Sutton Bonington to register good away wins, while Badar Digwa's good form continued for Rainbow, although his unbeaten 98 out of 136-9 at Wellow Exiles was in vain as the home side won by five wickets.

In Division Two, Attenborough crushed leaders Thoresby Colliery and even had the luxury of making a declaration in their 228-run win.

Daniel Winwood's century brought about the early tea and Attenborough's bowlers needed only seven overs to skittle the weakened visitors for 22. Tim Poulton took 4-11.

Ellerslie are now back on top after their narrow win over PCCC, thanks to half centuries from Ananthan Sivayogananthan and Caleb Mierkalns.

Dominic Brown's 108 not out set up Division Three leaders Kimberley's seventh win of the season and keeps their perfect record intact.

This time it was Fisketon (130) who failed to have an answer to Kimberley's impressive attack and they fell 87 runs short.

Balderton's Dominic Wiffin hit 105 not out to steer his side to an impressive seven-wicket win against Clifton Village (208-4) in Division One. His innings eclipsed Richard Harrison's 122 not out for the visitors.
