Naveed keep his cool

Wollaton III's Hassan Naveed was the coolest guy on the pitch in the Division N clash with Kimberley IV.

With the scores in their game at home to Kimberley IV tied on 161, the teenager clean bowled the last two victims to earn a share of the spoils.

Sutton Bonington began their new campaign in Division H with a victory.

They had Dave Piggott and Adam Kind firing fifties in a six-wicket success over West Bridgford Legion (137).

Balderton II had first teamers David Makey (112*) and Chris Dobbie (113*) getting some practice in as their team coasted to a 129-run victory at home to Underwood II (166) in Division K.

There was a century second-wicket stand between Jamie Rhodes (67) and Dennis Burrell (80) that helped set Plumtree III 225 for victory at Beeston and Toton II. However, three early dropped catches proved costly as 15-year-old Sam Barrow struck a brilliant, undefeated 102 as his side ran out comfortable winners.

Finally, in Division R, Nottingham Royals, making their bow in the league, slumped to 87 all out before tea.

However, a rousing fightback, together with six wickets for Mohammed Akhtar and four for Saqib Hussain, saw visitors Old Dalby fall 23 runs short.
