Risley get their act together in Division D
Risley got their act together in Division D, thrashing Willoughby (88) by eight wickets with Matt Shaw (37* and 4-15) doing well.
Khalid Rehman had a debut to remember as his five wickets helped bowl out Long Whatton for 88 and give Bramcote a three-wicket win.
With some new additions, Hucknall II will fancy their chances of promotion from E and they came out on top in a high-scoring encounter at Hickling.
Australian Wayne Daniell hit 68 and Harvey Fenwick and Ian Welbourn both 48 as the home side set a testing 212 to win. This proved no worries for Ian Lobb, who fell four runs short of a deserved century.
Nadeem Akhtar would be the first to admit that he hasn't done himself justice in the last five years. However, the talented batsman hit a brilliant 151 as Ellerslie II (289) hammered Fiskerton (114).
Kinoulton made it two out of two in F, after a 44-run success at home to Stanton-by-Dale (110) who again had Dave King (32) top scoring. Kinoulton's Shaun Campbell (3-24) made it nine wickets in two games.
There were some fine individual performances in G, where Belvoir's Tony Wade took five Lowdham wickets in a total of 130, then he blasted 82 in just 49 balls with four maximums as his team were fast tracked to a nine-wicket victory.
It was a red letter day for James Burton of Gotham II. He scored his first Saturday century as his team successfully chased down the 162 set by Oxton.
Long Eaton's John Pack (8-37) dismissed West Bridgfordians II for 64 in pursuit of 131.
Unity Casuals II were 37-5 and 70-7 chasing 196 at home to Collingham II, but No.6 Arif Asif kept a calm head and, together with Fakeem Sahid and Hamza Khan, brought about an unlikely one-wicket success.
Hucknall Rolls II enjoyed their return to H with Andrew Pearson (6-12) and Ian Wade (4-14) shooting out Lenton Abbey for a poor 26 in pursuit of 183.
Lambley's Keith Miller has enjoyed a fine start to the season in J and Saturday saw his 43 and five wickets play a large part in the 120-run canter at home to Basford Hall OB (68).
It was a bad day at the office for Rob Arnold of Woodborough in K as he dropped Newstead Village's Gary Devonshire early in his innings.
Devonshire went on to make 86 and Nizamat Ali (74) joined in the fun as the winners posted an insurmountable 256.
It was a proud moment for Newark & RM IV skipper Tony Simpson who was joined in the side by son Ryan, 13, and daughter Ashleigh, 19.
Simpson scored 39 and took five wickets but still couldn't stop his side falling to 48-run defeat at home to Gedling Colliery III (185) in L.
Skipper John Todhunter carried his bat for 74 as his Hucknall III defeated Long Whatton (154), who had 15-year-old Rhys Allen striking 50.
